As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, especially in the area of education development, the Nigerian Breweries Plc, has offered students success guides aimed at guiding them in their career choices.

It was at the this year's edition of the annual 'Beyond the school' a career guidance and counseling initiative for public school students in the country.

This years edition, which is sixth in the series, coincided with the 70th anniversary of the company. The five schools that participated in this event held in Lagos include Oregun Senior Secondary School, Oregun Vetlend Senior Secondary School, Agege Government Senior Secondary School, Ikoyi Baptist Senior High School, and Eric Moore Senior High School Surulere.

The project champion and wife of NB Managing Director, Mrs. Clementine Vervelde, who inspired the participants by narrating her life experience, urged them to dream, follow their passion and cultivate reading habit.

She urged the students to study hard saying poverty is no excuse for failure.

The knowledge you acquired will help you with the disciplines that you are passionate about. You also have to develop the skills needed to succeed in those disciplines. This programme is about enlightenment for your career and your future.

After all you have learnt here today, you should be able to sit down and think of where you want to be in the next few years. The power lies in your hands." Mrs Vervelde said.
