Bank chief pledges N225m road project for Gusau versity

The executive Director of public sector of the First Bank Nigeria Plc, in charge of the 19 northern states in the country, Alhaji Dauda Lawan has pledged to construct 2.7 kilometer road and drainage at the permanent site of the Federal University Gusau[FUGUS], Zamfara state. With the road project valued at N225million, the transportation challenge confronting the students and members of staff and other members of the university would be a thing of the past.

Addressing newsmen in Gusau, the bank chief said the plan to construct the 2.7 kilometer road at the university was a response to the fact that the university as one of the youngest institutions established by the Federal Government three years ago, is in dire need of infrastructural development.

He said similar gesture will be sustained and extended to other fields of studies in the university until it is  able to stand on a strong footing especially in the running of all its academics programmes with a view of competing favourably with other universities in the country.
