www.odogwublog.com reports that the leadership of All Progressives Congress[APC] in the South East zone has ratified the suspension of Hon. Ben Nwaobosi as the Ebonyi state chairman of the party.
The party in the South East zone also decided that his deputy,Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze, should operate as acting state chairman of Ebonyi state APC,meanwhile.
The South East zonal Publicity secretary of the party, Hon Hycianth Ngwu dropped this hints in a press statement, a copy of which was made available to www.odogwublog.com . Ngwu said the suspension is based on the reports of the fact finding/Disciplinary committee set up by the party in the zone.
'Following the report of the Fact finding/Disciplinary Committee set up pursuant to APC Constitution Article 21B (ii), by the South East Zonal Committee to mediate on the Chairmanship crisis in Ebonyi State and pursuant to the Committee’s recommendation submitted to the Zonal Executive on 14th October 2016, the Zonal Executive Committee met on 27th October 2016 and resolved to sustain the suspension of Hon. Ben Nwaobosi as the Ebonyi state Chairman of APC'.
According to Hon Ngwu, the ratification of Hon Nwaobosi's suspension was supported by 14 out of 15 members of the Zonal Executive Committee members present at the meeting.
He disclosed that the appointment of his deputy,Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze, on acting capacity was in accordance with Article 17 (vi), of the Party’s Constitution. He urged members of Ebonyi State APC to cooperate with Pastor Eze in his bid to move the Party forward in the State.
It could be recalled that the Ebonyi State Executive Committee members of the, APC had earlier on, relying on Article 21 D (vi) of the Party’s Constitution (October 2014 as amended), passed a Vote of no confidence on its State Chairman, Hon Ben Nwaobasi, and consequently suspended the said Chairman from Office.
