SACK AMAECHI NOW, PDP URGES BUHARI

The opposition party-The Peoples Democratic Party[PDP] has called for the immediate sack of the transportation minister, Rotimi Amaechi having been again implicated in the alleged production of fake result sheets for the December 10 legislative re-run election in Rivers State. Atonyesia D. Peterside, a member of the All Progressive Congress[APC] was allegedly arrested last Friday for the production of fake result sheets. The Independent National Electoral Commission[INEC] has however, distanced itself from the alleged reproduction of fake result sheets, and called the security agencies to thoroughly investigate the matter.

The Electoral body had fixed December 10 for the National and State house of assembly re-run elections in Rivers state. PDP in a statement by its national publicity secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye on Sunday, said the police raid on Friday of the printing press located at No 12, Isiokpu Street, Portharcourt Ricers State, shows the desperation within the ranks of the ruling party, and the extent to which the party is willing to go to subvert the Nigerian people. It proves our assertion that the APC rigged the recent elections in Edo state and is planning to rig the elections in Ondo state.

According to the statement, Mr.peterside during interrogation said he was detailed to print the electoral materials by Hon. Emmanuel Chinda, a former commissioner for Agriculture during the tenure of Rotimi Amaechi, who now serves as transport minister in Buhari's Administration.
