DANGOTE URGES OBASEKI TO REPLICATE LAGOS TEMPLATE IN EDO

The president of Dangote group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has urged the newly sworn in governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki to replicate the leadership template of Lagos state, laid by former governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to transform Edo State. Also, the Lagos state Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has tasked Obaseki on good governance, urging him to always prepare his mind for backlash from people who would want him to be in a hurry to take decisions, but must be ready to meticulously plan and implement policies that would be in the best interest of the people of the state.

Speaking at the inaugural dinner held in Benin to usher in the new governor, the billionaire business man and Africa's richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote urged Obaseki to make the state a point of reference for commerce and development. According to Dangote, Tinubu laid a solid foundation for the development of Lagos state, which his successors keyed into and even scaled up to bring about massive transformation and development, saying that just like Tinubu, former governor of Edo state, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, had also placed Edo on sound footing for development. Dangote urged Obaseki to follow the path of continuity for progress.
