IPOB Vows, says ‘‘No going back on Biafra’’

The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) has vowed that no amount of intimidation or harassment could make it  jettison the struggles for Biafra restoration.

IPOB in a press statement issued today by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful , said that the Federal Government would not succeed in its efforts to scuttle the agitation as the people are passionate about the new republic.

"The Biafra project was ordained by God , and  Biafra will be a country where people of Africa will benefit from technologically, economically, politically and spiritually ", he said.

IPOB wondered why the Department of the State Services ( DSS) failed to produce in court last Friday, its National Coordinator, Chidiebere Onwudiwe who has been in detention since June 22.

The statement said that Onwudiwe  who was  arrested in his house in Port Harcourt had been held up in DSS cell since then.

IPOB called for the immediate release of the activist since DSS has failed to produce him in court for lack of evidence.
