Enugu facebook fraudster's arrested

The Enugu state police command has arrested two young men who specialized in defrauding unsuspecting members of the public using facebook . They were arrested by  operatives of the Anti Kidnap Unit of the Enugu state police command  following intelligence information,Mr Amaraizu, the Enugu state police command public relations officer stated.

According to Maraizu, the  suspects who gave their names  as one Richard  Odinake Amadi of Omagwa Imogu in Ikwere local Government Area of Rivers state as well as Richard Onyema of No 20 Mbano camp  Obigbo portharcourt Rivers state  were arrested on  by the operatives on October 3, at about 5pm in Port Harcourt Rivers state .

He said the police through  intelligence information gathered that the  suspects have been in the illicit deals of  impersonating prominent people  on face book as a ploy  to dupe others.

The suspects are now  helping the operatives in their investigations  even as they have confessed to the crime and pleaded for forgiveness,Amaraizu stated.
