Okorocha is a punishment to Imo people--- Senator Sam Anyanwu and Hon Ezenwa Onyewuchi

www.odogwublog.com reports that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers today began evacuation of heaps  of refuse dumps along ever busy Douglas road in Owerri , the Imo state capital, just as they raised alarm over the hazards of dirt.
Led by the Senator representing Owerri zone, Senator Sam Anyanwu and the member representing Owerri Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Ezenwa Onyewuchi, and other PDP stalwarts in the state, they regretted the mounting heap of refuse which they noted is harmful.
The chairman House  committee on Labour, productivity and employment and member representing Owerri Federal Constituency of Imo state at the National Assembly, Ezenwa Francis Onyewuchi raised alarm on the hazards of the heaps of refuse on the ever busy Douglas road in Owerri, which he said is harmful.
The Lawmaker accused the state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha of deliberately sentencing the people of the state to sudden death with the continuous stay of the refuse at the commercial nerve centre of the state.
Onyewuchi called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately call the state Governor to order as the state capital saying the city was at the verge of diseases outbreak that would affect the entire nation.
"The Governor has deliberately sentenced Owerri to sudden death. This is a deliberate act and punishment on my people because of the dispute arising from lingering relocation of the Ekeukwu Owerri market. I call on Mr president to immediately call our Governor to order", he said.
While calling on Governor Okorocha to take full responsibility of his office, he opined that the people have a right to decent life, good health, and promised that as their Representative, he has arranged interventionist strategy that will have the dirt evacuated immediately .
"Health is wealth. I have the constitutional responsibility to protect you and make sure you enjoy decent living. Nobody can force you to die before your time or subject you to live in an environment that is hazardous to your health. I will reach out to Mr President and all the relevant agencies that will make sure that this wickedness does not repeat itself again ". He stated.
Onyewuchi alleged that the Governor wants to annihilate and humiliate the indigenes of the state capital, simply because they stopped him from relocating their ancestral Ekeukwu Owerri market, saying Governor Okorocha  has subjected the state to a weeping and pitiable state.
