President General, Igbo Cultural Association, Jonah Ezekwueme ,has commended Ndi gbo resident in Plateau state for their positive contribution to the economic development of the citizens.
Chief Ezekwueme, who gave the commendation at the Igbo day celebration, while speaking to journalist on the importance of the day, explained further that Igbos have played positive roles in the economic progress of Plateau State since creation.
He said “ never like before had NdIgbo came together for the unity and meaningful progress of this kind .So, I believe with this show of togetherness, the Igbo man has gotten his grip in the affairs of this nation.
He commended the order from the apex body of Ndigbo, Ohaneze Ndigbo, commending members both at home and abroad, for contributing in seeing to its progress, adding ,’it is a known fact that Ndigbo are industrious in all spheres of life and it's not surprising for them closing their business just to take a stock of activities regarding their culture .
He observed that the involvement of Ndi gbo in Nigerian politics and economy cannot be forgotten n a hurry as it has always played its part in bringing development in the world.
Contributing further , Asiogwo also expressed joy over the way and manner Igbos responded to the call and obeyed.
He commended the leadership of Jonah Ezekwueme of the Igbo Cultural Association (ICA) for leading the Igbos on the plateau and for building a befitting hall for Igbos where central meetings will be held. Asiogwo ,who is eyeing the position of the president general of ICA said, he would work towards promoting cultural value of people from Igbo extraction.
Anambra Southern Zone Chairman, Jos Branch, Comrade Arinze, expressed happiness that never before has Ndi gbo been united like this to the extent that they closed their businesses to observe the great day.
