Igbo Cultural Association,Jos,Plateau State, has called on Plateau State Government to come to its aid by providing portable water to the Igbo community
Chairman of the association,Jonah okey Ezekwueme made the call during the commissioning and dedication of the newly built town hall for Igbo sons and daughters resident in the state.
He expressed worry over the plight of Ndigbo as most of them leaving in Apata and its environs are facing challengeS of lack of portable water.
Chief Ezekwueme said that the newly commissioned hall, was a thing of joy for Igbos as they could then hive a sigh of relief that a central meeting point has been built
According to him, his tenure has created the women's wing and youth wing who are trained and serve as vigilante including empowering of the youths to fend for themselves. He charged the Igbos to be law abiding and go about their lawful businesses and avoid being security risks to the state.
Performing the commissioning ceremony, Eze Igbo ll,Jos ,Prof Joseph Obilom, charged the Igbos to see the hall as a project of the entire Igbos resident on the plateau, ‘now we have a central point where we can hold our regular meetings and as well discuss things centred on the affairs of ndigbo.
