We are reforming agric sector – Deputy Gov



DEPUTY Governor of Anambra State, Nkem Okeke has pointed out one of the measures taken by the
state government to empower the youths as reformation of the agriculture sector.
  Dr Okeke who disclosed this during the closing of the third session of the 29th Synod of the Anglican Diocese on the Niger, at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Ogidi, stressed that the state government has made more effort in reforming the agricultural sector, noting that it is a way of empowering the youths and developing the state.
  The deputy governor who represented Gov. Willie Obiano at the occasion  stated that a good leader must always live by example just like what the state government is doing to reform and transform Anambra to a greater height.
  He stated that the on-going construction of fly-overs along Onitsha-Enugu Expressway is a way of giving the state capital a befitting look as its name implies adding that all these are done for the benefit and progress of the people.
  Dr Okeke while reacting on the theme of the Synod, “Beyond Faith, There is Reality”, emphasised that a leader must do what is right through fairness and accountability.
  He noted that all work without progress and actualisation is worthless.
  The deputy governor also used the opportunity to call on Ndi Anambra to always give their full support to the state government to enable him achieve his mission and vision in the state.
  Commending Governor Obiano for his effort in transforming the state, the Bishop of the Diocese on the Niger, Rt. Rev Owen Chiedozie Nwokolo thanked Gov. Obiano for his commitment and determination to give the state a wonderful look.
  Bishop Nwokolo prayed that God would continue giving the governor the strength and wisdom he desires to transforming the state.
  Earlier in his sermon, the Bishop of Akoko Edo Diocese and guest preacher, Rt. Rev Jolly Ehigiator Oyekpen explained that it is great maturity to see reality beyond faith, pointing out that whoever does not see faith beyond reality is worthless.
  Bishop Oyekpen also advised all the faithful to always wait for God's time in all their endeavours in order to achieve positive result, adding that “Work without Faith is dead”.
  Among the parishioners that spoke with National Light in an interview was Dr Uche Ezeriora and Mr Chuba Oranwusi who described the Synod as well-packaged and successful.
