ANAMBRA Government has expressed dissatisfaction with the dirty and unhealthy conditions of most
public and private health centres, clinics and hospitals operating in the state.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Uju Nwogu who stated that the current situation whereby the surrounding, wards and beddings of most of the health centres, clinics, hospitals which are not only untidy but unfit for habitation especially by patients is unacceptable especially in the light of the commitment of the present administration to deliver effective and efficient health care services to the people.
According to her, “the State Government hereby directs the authorities of all public and private health centres, clinics and hospitals in the state to ensure that their wards, bedding and surroundings are constantly kept clean and tidy.
She warned that any hospital found to be unclean or untidy during governments spot checks on all hospitals in the state would be closed down.
