N2b MSMES fund now accessible – Nwogu

ANAMBRA State Business Agency (ASBA) has commenced the disbursement of N2 billion Micro Small
and Medium Enterprises (MSMES) development fund, domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
In a Press release made available Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Uju Nwogu called on the people of the state to take advantage of the services rendered by ASBA, which the Governor, Chief Willie Obiano inaugurated recently.
She commended the governor for working very hard to meet with the relevant requirements not only needed for accessing the loan but also for establishing ASBA. She added that these will create employment and opportunities for the enterprising people of the state.
Dr. Nwogu said the fund could be accessed by serious and committed private enterprise operators as well as those with genuine business concepts who hitherto are facing the problem of funding.
The commissioner further disclosed that prospective beneficiaries who applied through commercial banks in the state under the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector could access up to maximum of N50 million while applications processed by microfinance banks under the Micro Enterprise would access any amount not exceeding N5 million, all at affordable interest rates.
