THERE was stampede at Onitsha main market last week as a middle aged man was promptly arrested by
vigilante operatives as he was making last minutes efforts to hide the real identity of a school girl he allegedly abducted at Enugu.
Eye witness account stated that the suspect identified as Amaechi Ambrose had on the fateful day abducted one miss charity Okoh at their school through spiritual manipulation.
It was alleged that Amaechi on getting to Onitsha with his victim went to the main market to change the school uniform of his victim instead of going home to his alleged residence at Onitsha military cantonment.
National light gathered that the attention of the public was drawn to the scene when the girl was nude as she undressed at the market.
“It was then that the vigilante operatives alerted the Chairman of the main market, Valentine Ezechukwu who promptly arrived at the scene and ensured the arrest.
Narrating her experience, the victim who had regained her consciousness, stated that she was going to school on Monday when she was beckoned by the suspect, “On getting to him, he hung a necklace around my neck and immediately I lost consciousness and followed him to board a vehicle to this place”. She stated that she regained her consciousness as she was removing the necklace while also attempting to change her clothes.
