The State Government has banned all forms of advertisement by healthcare providers in the state.
It has equally banned the hawking of drugs, sale of food supplements as well drugs and provision of unapproved health service in the state.
A Public Service announcement signed by the Commissioner for Health, Dr Joe Akabuike, explained that the measure is part of the ongoing efforts by the Willie Obiano administration to sanitize health care delivery services in the state.
It advises members of the public not to allow any person, group of persons or organizations to give their wards treatment or allow their premises to be used for such a purpose without seeing evidence of clearance from the State Ministry of Health.
The announcement further draws the attention of healthcare providers, traditional medicine practitioners, religious leaders, traditional rulers and school heads to the ban.
