Tension as Bank Robber Arrested on Robbing Customer At Gunpoint

www.odogwublog.com reports that a member of a four-man armed robbery gang that has been terrorizing the general public at the Nkpor Flyover axis and environs,

Idemili North Local Government Area, was yesterday arrested by the police after robbing a female bank customer.

The armed robber was arrested when he dispossessed the customer of an undisclosed amount of money she cashed from one of the new generation banks.

On coming out from the said bank, the robber quietly got to her and ordered her to surrender the money she cashed from the bank and she obeyed without hesitation having seen the gun.

As the robber collected the money to run away the woman shouted on top of her voice which attracted the bank security operatives and they rushed and arrested him.

However, on seeing that their accomplice has been arrested his gang members numbering about three started shooting into the air in a desperate move to frighten the security operatives to release him but to no avail as the policemen attached to the bank responded immediately resulted in the traders within the axis scampering for safety.

On the process the arrested member was forced into a waiting van and whisked away to an unknown destination by the police after he made some resistance while being forced into the vehicle.
