PDP House of Assembly Candidate decamps to APGA in Anambra

History was made over the weekend as a PDP factional candidate for the state House of Assembly in Idemili South, Mr. Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu and others decamped
from the PDP to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, during the party’s rally held at Alor.

The decampees include PDP Minority leader, Idemili South, an APC ward Vice Chairman, Women leaders, ward chairmen and party members from APC, Accord and Labour parties, coordinated by the councilor representing Akwukwu ward, Mr. Izuchukwu Ogbuefi.

The decampees were welcomed and decorated with APGA clothes by the APGA state Deputy Chairman, Chief Ifeanyi Udokwu, assisted by other APGA stakeholders.
Chief Udokwu assured them of their full rights and privileges as there is no discrimination in APGA.
In his speech, the leader of the decampees, Mr. Morgan said what pushed him out of PDP was that the party lacks coordination and unity, coupled with the good work of Governor Willie Obiano, especially how he coordinates the affairs of the party, stressing that they joined APGA wholeheartedly.

Earlier, Governor Obiano, represented by the Commissioner for Special Duties, Sir Norbert Obi, assured the decampees that they took the right step as  APGA is on course.
Governor Obiano who noted that his administration is distributing democracy dividends evenly to all communities in the state urged the people of Alor to vote massively for APGA for more development of the area.

The Commissioner for local government, Mrs. Azuka Enemmuo, noted that APGA candidates at both federal and state levels are capable and vibrant to get the shares due to their constituencies if elected, and urged the people to vote for APGA.

The APGA candidate for idemili North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Ibezim and APGA candidate for the State House of Assembly, Mr. Chuka Ezenwune, assured the people of effective and full representation if elected.

Others who spoke at the event included the Idemili South local government chairman, Prince Henry Ezenwa, political liaison officer to the governor for Idemili South, Mr. Ubaka Ezike, Mrs. Ebele Ejikeme and the coordinator of the event, Mr. Ebele Onyekwelu.
