Obiano’s Wife Commends Group for Uniting Political Parties in Anambra, inaugurates Willie Obiano support group in Idemmili

www.odogwublog.com reports that a Socio-Political group, Oganiru Idemili Movement has been commended for bringing the three major political parties of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA),

All Progressive Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates together under one roof for the purpose of looking inward into the plights of Idemili North and South which have the highest voting power in Anambra State.

The wife of the governor, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, represented by Hon. Ebele Ejikeme noted that the group, through its transparent leadership is a force to reckon with, adding that Idemili is one of the council areas that had benefitted in one of the highest investment projects attracted by Gov. Willie Obiano.

Anambra First Lady, Mrs Obiano said this at Ojoto in Idemili South Local Government Area during the inauguration of the Oganiru Idemili Movement which attracted the political heavy weights in the State; including the National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Umeh, the Senator representing Anambra Central in the National Assembly, Senator Chris Ngige, who was represented by member representing Idemili South in the State House of Assembly, Barr. Ebele Obi, Dr. Chibuzo Obiako of APC, Chief Nwafeenna Oraukwuelum Anyisia, Hon Charlce Odedo of PDP among others.

According to Mrs Obiano, “The Oba international market is a multi-billion naira project which had been inaugurated. APGA government has also attracted more than 20 kilometres of roads to Idemili within one year and the site for Oba international airport, all in Idemili will now house a vehicle assembly plant and work has commenced there in earnest. All we are asking for is your bulk vote in this forth coming election in March 28 and April 11 this year” she emphasised.

In his remarks, the chairman of the occasion, Hon. Tony Uche Ezekwelu explained that Oganiru Idemili Movement is a political but non partisan group formed to be a voice to Idemili people as the most marginalised in Anambra State.

“Idemili North alone is the second largest local government in Nigeria and in the development indices; Idemili is among the best in revenue generation in the state. So, this is the time to hear from the political candidates to know their plans for us as the area is poorly represented” he stressed.

Hon. Ezekwelu also attested to the fact that Gov. Willie Obiano has shown love to the people of Idemili, pointing out that many areas have been designated special agriculture sites for commercial production of rice, cassava and sugar.

He however appealed to the governor to complete the Ojoto water scheme and as well as commenced the abandoned old Obosi-Oba-Ojoto-Nnewi road, Nnobi-Ojo-Umuoji road in his second year in office even as he expressed confidence that the international market, vehicle assembly plant and agricultural investments attracted by the governor will create jobs for the teeming youths of the area.

Earleir in his address, the  Chairman of Oganiru Idemili Movement, Comrade Arthur Obiora said the group will renew the peoples political consciousness  and afford them the opportunity to collectively discuss their socio-political problems.

“There is need for this inauguration to properly articulate the welfare of our people especially in the political leadership of Idemili and Anambra State at large” it reads.

Dr. Chibuzo Obiako of APC urged the group to vote APC in the elections to bring the desired change and end the marginalisation of the people of the area.

Similarly, Willie Obiano Support Group (WOSG) was also inaugurated in Ojoto in Idemili South Local Government Area where the group led by Hon. Tony Uche Ezekwelu described Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra State as someone who is forthright, sincere, dedicated and committed to deliver good governance to the people of the state as exemplified in his one year in office.

He assured the governor and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) of their support especially at the March 28 and April 11 general elections in the state
