Valentine Blues from Anambra Youths To Obiano

www.odogwublog.com reports that Anambra youths under the aegis of United Anambra Youth Assembly (U-AYA) Anambra East, on Saturday held a colourful Valentine’s Day celebration organized by Hon Chinedu Obidigwe,

Special Assistance to Governor Obiano on youth’s matters. The opportunity was used to drum support for the Governor Willie Obiano’s administration by the youths.

The event which took place at the home town of Hon Chinedu Obidigwe  at Okpu village in Anambra East Local Government Area was re-assuring for the youths who pledged Governor Willie Obiano their total support and promised to assist his administration to maintain peace and love in the state.

They assured they would not be used as political urchins and thugs by any politician in order to sustain the peace and order currently existing in the state.

Speaking on behalf the youths, Comrade Somudi Emmanuel, chairman United Anambra Youth Assembly (U-AYA) Anambra East, expressed joy over the event, describing it as memorable as it gave them (youths) a sense of belonging.

Comrade Emmanuel said: “This event remains a memorable one in our heart. For our amiable President, Hon Obidigwe to remember us the youths in this noble celebration of love, it shows that they have us in their mind and also in their agenda.”

The youths unanimously agreed to support the administration of Chief Willie Obiano and massively vote for all APGA candidates. “We owe them nothing but to keep on supporting them. We will make sure that all those people who will work with our amiable Governor must win in this coming election.”

The youths extolled the virtues of Governor Willie Obiano and promised to stand behind the governor and APGA come March 28 and April 11, 2015 even as they promised that they must surely deliver in their various wards. They hailed Obiano for ridding the state of criminals, who had disrupted the peace for many years and bringing joy and happiness to the state.

Earlier in his speech, Hon Chinedu Obidigwe, the convener thanked everybody for gracing the occasion and assured them quality dispensation of democracy dividends in the state under the leadership Chief Willie Obiano whom he described as a man of integrity and honour. He reminded them that the occasion was to show love and celebrate and join the entire world in marking the Valentine’s Day.

“His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano has shown love to Ndi-Anambra in this his young administration more than any government so far. There is this proverb that says ‘Charity begins at home’ and today I have gathered you people here in my house to eat and drink with me. To show my kind love to you people.

He urged the youths to shun desperate politicians, who could employ their indulgence to commit violence, thuggery among other electoral fraud or to engage in any act that could tarnish the image of the state even as he assured the governor that the youths under his leadership would ensure his administration’s success.

Speaking also, Mrs Amala Nwadialor, State Coordinator of Osodieme Obiano Ladies Movement (OOLM), expressed optimism over what she described as promoting and uniting the party APGA by Chinedu Obidigwe.

 “I am overwhelmed over what is happening here today. Obidigwe is quit promoting and uniting our great party APGA. It always good to show love to everybody around you”, she advised.

She charged the youths to discard fake campaign promises and stand with a willingly working governor. She further emphasized that “the pace at which governor Obiano transformed Anambra State by carrying everybody along, specially the youths gives hope that more are still coming.

‘’Chief Willie Obiano is a youth friendly governor, within 10 months he registered Anambra Youths via anambrayouthconnect.com; provided over 2,000 direct and indirect jobs; and currently leads in provision of employment opportunities through Youth-in-Agriculture programmes”.
