Recently, Neni town stood still as ENGR. Charles Ezeani celebrated the grand opening of his royal castle.
The event was kicked off with a solemn mass service officiated by Very Revd. Fr. Philip Chukwuma Ofojebe, his immediate past parish priest of St Mary's Catholic Church, Neni, assisted by other priests including the first indigenous priest, Very Revd. Fr. Prof. James Okoye, and Revd. Fr. Toochukwu Ume.
Afterwards,
all the holy priests of God supported by the large sea of people present raised
their hands towards the new complex and invoked God's protection and more
blessings upon it and its inhabitants. The officiating priest still went ahead
to strongly impress the invocations with a round through all the rooms in the
beautiful home of ENGR. Charles Ezeani, spraying holy water on every nook and
cranny and occupants within sight.
In his testimony after the 'Home Blessing' session, the eloquent Engineer said the secret to his success is building an altar for God. He went through a lot of economic straits. But as soon as he set up an altar of prayer dedicated to God, things changed; he started getting calls and several 'open doors' instead of calls from debtors. He advised anyone going through difficulties to be patient and borrow a leaf from him, that God will remember them in due time. Engineer Ezeani said he was dedicating the house to his wife who was supportive during hard times and never made things more difficult for him.

also spoke to the press. He revealed that the celebrant's father trained him
and that he knows Engr. Ezeani so well. He submitted that ENGR. Ezeani was
prominent amongst his siblings right from his childhood days at Nnokwa
who was ahead of the rest academically. According to the retired teacher,
though young Engr. Charles Ezeani was the third of three sons and two daughter,
he remained ahead of others in mathematics right from primary school. 'After
their father died, i've been covering them in matters that has to do with
tradition while they've been supporting me financially', Mr Donatus Ezeani
laughingly quipped. The retired teacher presented Engr. Charles as a man to be
reckoned with in sincerity and one who cares about others. He proudly informed
that Ezeani family produced Neni's first lawyer, engineer, priest, etc. He
prays that God salvage the minds of disgruntled ones who kick against the
engineer.
The immediate past parish priest who also

Chukwuma Ezeani as a God fearing man, dedicated to duty and very industrious,
who supports the work of God in his own little way and a very good
philanthropist. He said that was why he chose to identify with him on such a
special day because he is a friend of the people and a friend of God. He
reiterated the invocation of God's special blessing on the building and the
occupants. Speaking on the political side of the celebrant, the priest vouched
for ENGR. Charles' good intentions and massive grassroot support. 'I don't
believe in politics of party but in politics of personality. If any other party
will accept him(ENGR. Charles Ezeani) knowing he hears the voice of the masses
and the masses strongly support him,he is a very good instrument for the
welfare of the people, I will still support him regardless of the party,' the
priest affirmed.
The
caretaker chairman of PDP, Anambra state, Honorable Chief Comrade Matthias
Onyejiakor who is also the coordinator of Nigerian Independent Council of
Electorates, Directorate of Mobilisation, South Eastern Nigeria, was spotted in
the event. In his interaction with the press, he revealed he was present not on
a political note but on a social one because the celebrant is a good friend.

less privileged and one who is very qualified to run for any political office.
