Town Unions In South East Emerge , Cautions Politicians

                

  A new socio-political force Association of Town Unions South-East zone emerged after a one day meeting at Enugu with the representatives of various Town Unions in the South East. There second meeting held in Awka Anambra State.

They met and came out with the following communiqué including calling on politicians to adhere strictly to the rules of democracy  so as to engender internal peace in all the political parties.

             

    A press statement by the Secretary General of National Association of Town Unions Anambra state/ President General of Onitsha Town Chief Peter Nwagu said the town Unions commended the President Dr  Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for setting up the National Confab and thanked all the delegates from South East for the role so far played especially for the creation of one more state in the South-East.

 The town union representatives called on both States and the federal Government to create security awareness more with the Grassroots using the Town Unions.
