How Obiano And Wife , Obi Others Celebrated Supreme Court Judgment That Upholds Governor Obiano’s Election

Governor Willie Obiano and eminent personalities especially Anambra chief judge, Justice Peter Umeadi , Bishops including Bishop of Awka Catholic diocese , Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor among eminent jurists and state executive council were celebrating the judiciary when the news filtered in.

Obiano immediately dedicated the victory to Ndi Aanmbra promising to work more hard to sustain he tempo left by his predecessor Ex-Governor Peter Obi.

Obi it we were informed on Saturday told Obiano at Holy family Village Amansea that he would be victorious at the supreme court as the case was just a distraction. Obiano equally encouraged Senator Chris Ngige to accept the outcome of the judgment in good faith and support his administration should the he win but that he would support a fresh election should he loose in good faith.

The Supreme Court had earlier today upheld the election of Anambra State Governor, Willy Obiano just as it dismissed the appeals brought by the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their candidates Chris Ngige and Tony Nwoye respectively.

In a unanimous judgment, the court held that the appellants woefully failed to prove their allegations that the election was not conducted in compliance with the Electoral Act.

Justice Bayang.K. Akaahs who read the lead judgment held that the appellants failed to substantiate their claims and that in the circumstance, the apex court had no reason to disturb the concurrent judgments of both the Election Petition ‎Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.
