Group Wants Anambra State Local Government Fund Released

                                   

Movement for Conduct of Local Government Election in Anambra State (MCLGEAS)  has frowned at the stifling and strangulation of Local Government system in Anambra state by  the State Government.

Coordinator of (MCLGEAS), Comrade Osita Obi, who announced this said ‘’a situation elected Local Government officials are not given freedom and enough fund to run their local government councils is inimical to the growth of democracy in the grass root’’.

‘’We urge the state Government to grant the local Government councils partial autonomy to enable the elected officials display their potentials and be called to account by the masses’’.
