The final resting place of Prof Dora Nkem Akunyili
is a palace on earth. She would be laid in a palatial sitting room that would
be turned into a museum immediately after her funeral rites are performed,

Her widower, Dr Chike Akunyili said because her late
wife was like an elephant that whoever comes across her would tell his or her
story differently , there is need to display all her over 800 unique awards for
posterity to see why it is worth being patriotic at all times.
He said it would be a disservice to the youths to
just bury Dora without a monument for people to visit and have inspiration on an
Amazon that lived for Ndigbo and Nigeria.
Dr Akunyili informed that the museum for displaying of
all that Prof Dora Akunyili stood for while
alive became very important because there are legacies more than money in the
history of Nigeria which Prof Akunyili late stood for.
She stood for Nigeria and could not sacrifice
