Exclusive: How Late Prof Dora Akunyili Trained Her 6 Children -2 Boys , 4 Girls , As Husband Takes Best Pharmaceutical Honour On Her Behalf November 8th This Year In USA

In Igbo land, a family is known by the kind of children they bequeathed the society, and odogwuemekaodogwu.com continued to wonder how would one rate Prof Dora Akunyili , now referred in the past and the widower Dr Chike Akunyili with their children. Her burial arrangements are in top gear for August 28 this year.

And on investigation, Dr Chike Akunyili told odogwuemekaodogwu.com that they have 6 promising children. Four girls and two boys and to know that two of the children are Medical Consultants and two others medical doctors, all doing well in their chosen profession is indeed interesting to say the least.

Again the two others were equally great in their chosen careers, whereas one is a Polyglot (multilingual) speaking 6 languages as a consultant, the last child , one of the boys just finished his youth service.

They schooled here in Nigeria and abroad but always come home to do their Youth service. She brought her children up in a sound way although men here lost as they mainly married abroad.

Late Dora Akunyili according to her husband was a good mother to her children and wife to him,’’ She is a Prof but if you come to the house , you won’t know she was a Prof because she would be quick to remind me that she was Chike’s wife before becoming  a Prof.  She electrifies the home ‘’, and she was missed greatly by all those who know her.

Dora’s widower said his wife’s last wife was for President Goodluck Jonathan to be allowed to administer the Nation without distraction and for the militants holding the Chibok girls ransom to free them unconditionally. She reminded Nigerians that Jonathan is the best President.   

Odogwuemekaodogwu.com could recall that Prof Akunyili before her demise had said her six children were first class materials and graduated in first class at different universities. What a mother. She had two attempts to her life but survived them all , took ill in 1985 were she was unconscious for two to three weeks but God revived her. She died gallantly serving Nigeria at the Confab.

When she was even pronounced to die after 7 months but she lived on until her death this year by Endometrial Carcinoma or Laposacoma , a kind of cancer that affects the Uterus or the womb.

A woman with over 800 outstanding awards all over the world  is even receiving more awards at death (Post Humus) as one of the 5 people in the world that contributed to the Pharmaceutical profession by taking it to the next level. Dr Chike Akunyili said he would honour the award anywhere in the world on 8^th November this year as a mark of honour to his late wife.
