Employees (AUPCTRE), National Orientation Agency (NOA) Anambra State
Directorate branch with the aim of inculcating in the participants trade union consciousness
to enable them manage arising issues as they carry out their daily official
engagements.

to enable them manage arising issues as they carry out their daily official

Speaking at the workshop which was held in Awka, the Director-General of NOA, Chief Mike Omeri ably represented by
the National Chairman, National Coordinating Committee – NCC of AUPCTRE NOA, National Headquarters, Abuja, Comrade Nura Yusuf Kobi charged the members to be of good conducts and as well guide their jobs jealously.
He explained that the essence of seminar was to upgrade their knowledge and sharpen their skills to ensure quality services to the people noting that the reason for being of members of the union was to propagate truth dignity of human labour and call to service.
‘When you manage labour, it will
enable you to increase your production. I urged all of you to key on and always
have the interest of others at heart while you carry out your duties’, Chief
Omeri said.
odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports that in an opening remark, the Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Gab Okpalaze (Acting Managing Director of the Anambra
State Broadcasting Service (ABS) enjoined the members to work for grace instead
of gain saying that every good deeds had a greater reward both here on earth
and in the heaven. Mr. Okpalaze charged participants to think more of what they
would offer society rather than what society would offer them, adding that diligent
servants live the rest of their lives reaping what they had worked for.
Earlier in a remark, one of the
awardees and the special guest of honour who incidentally is the Anambra State
Commissioner for Special Duties (in-charge of Federal Establishments in the
State), Sir Norbert Obi (KSJI) commended the organizers for putting up what he
described as an avenue for training and retraining of the AUPCTRE members for
efficient service delivering and urged them to soak in whatever think they had
been taught and as well live by an example.
Sir Obi, while extolling the organizers assured the people that
Anambra State government would continue to provide the enabling environment for all and Sunday noting that Governor Willie Obiano had done marvelously well within the first hundred day he had stayed in the office especially in the areas of security, Agriculture, health and other sectors.
In a paper
presentation titled ‘Promoting Personal Security and Safety through Effective
Communication: The imperative of utilization for social media and presented by
the State Director (DSS), Anambra State represented by his Deputy Mr. Julius
Owiopele bemoaned the rate with the media go about their reportage and urged

According to him, ‘we are aware of
insecurity before us now; this demands extra cautions and vigilance by
citizens. Information sharing and dissemination require an effective communication
skill through the application of the multi-dimensional approach to create
effective communication and decoder as well as the channels’, Dr. Ekemezie
said.
