100 Days In Office: Catholic Bishop Of Awka Warns Goevrnor Obiano Of Sycophants

 

odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports that the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His lordship Most Rev. Dr. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor has showered encomiums on Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State for what he has been able to achieve within his first one hundred days in office and for his genuine
interest in making the state viable and habitable.
 

The Catholic prelate who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr.Abuchi Onwumelu, expressed joy over the laudable achievements of the governor so far in the state especially on the
areas of Security Agriculture health and education and also for operating all
inclusive type of government. He stated that the pace with which the governor
is going the state can only be moving from glory to glory and enjoined the
people of the state to keep praying for the governor, who he described as a
courageous and action leader.

He said the governor had proved to the people that he had the impetus, the desire and courage to makeAnambra State the cynosure of all eyes.

odogwuemekaodogwu.com quotes the Bishop as saying ‘The little time I spent with him made me to conclude that he came to serve and not to be served, he is a man of his words; he doesn’t believe  in too much talk. He knows what need to be done at any point in time. Base on my observations and calculation he is ready to work for his people. My
advice for him is that he should do it right so that coming generation will
celebrate him’, Bishop Ezeokafor said.

The cleric, while extolling
the governor charged him to be wary of sycophants who would try to use flattery
to dissuade or persuade him from carrying out the wish of the people and as
well give no listening ears to people who behave obsequiously towards him.

He urged the governor to
work towards his mission and ambition to avoid losing touch on the people as
well keep to his zero tolerance to criminality and corruption adding that all
eyes are now on him to see if he would continue to carryout the good fight of
ridding the state of criminal elements who had held the state spell-bound in
the years past.
