How Anambra House Of Assembly Reacted To Chief Victor Umeh’s Victory At Appeal Court


  

Odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports that although almost two weeks, notable Anambrarians have continued to react to the recent victory of Chief Victor Umeh as the National Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) at an Appeal Court in Abuja.


The jubilant, mostly APGA loyalties described the triumphant entry as a welcome development, a call for celebration; an avenue to sheathe swords and strategize towards clinching more powers within and outside Southeast in 2015 and beyond.

As a result, Anambra State House of Assembly dominated by the state ruling party, in its recent sittings, praised God for once again returning happiness to APGA and putting an end to possible factionalization of the party.

Hon. Benson Nwawulu of Ogbaru 1 State constituency who opened the encomium floor while supporting the motion for adjournment, described Chief Umeh’s victory as a step in right direction, ascribing it to Late Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu’s love for mankind which has always shower them victory over enemies of progress.

Contributing, Hon. Rita Maduagwu, Hon. Ebele Ejiofor, Hon. Romanus Obi and others dedicated the success to God and APGA members whose gigantic efforts led to the victory.

Also reacting, member representing Anaocha 1 constituency, Hon. Ebele Ejiofor said the court ruling foreshadows that democracy has been rooted in the country, optimizing that it would provide succour for the APGA to sweep the entire five states in the Southern part of the country.

While Hon. Chugbo Enwezor of Onitsha-north 1, averred that the court judgment was clear and followed due process and beckoned on oppositioners to accept defeat and return to the winning team for the betterment of members and none members as well.

Responding to her colleagues, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chinwe Nwaebili said the victory would further spur Governor Willie Obiano to action, focusing on governance of the state having erased speculations on who actually governs the state, and appealed to aggrieved persons, political parties or candidates who had not been satisfied with the outcome of November 16th gubernatorial poll to equally withdraw their court suites and join hands with Willie Will Work in moving the state to enviable height.

In a related development, Prof. Solomon Chukwulobelu, the state Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budgeting has  lauded APGA National Chairman, Chief Victor Umeh, imploring him and other members to embrace peace and unity in the spirit of its motto, “Be Your Brothers’ Keeper”.
Meanwhile, Chief Victor Umeh while paying homage to Late Ojukwu’s graveyard at Nnewi, Nnewi-North council, has boasted that APGA must capture Lagos state in 2015.
According to him, Lagos state executive and lawmaking bodies would fall to APGA in 2015, even as the party shall also rock horn with Peoples Democratic Party as it gears to gather as many as 30 Senators, 100 House of Reps Members, Gubernatorial seats and so on in all parts of Nigeria.
Dedicating the court victory to Late Ojukwu, Chief Umeh said he has come to recharge his political power from Ojukwu’s corpse for task ahead in 2015, claiming that the departed Biafran warlord during the visit charged and empowered him to go forge ahead to wining all states in Nigeria unstoppable.
