Chairman Anambra East Appeals For Peace

The newly elected chairman in Anambra East local Council Area of Anambra state
Hon. Hilary O. Udanoh (Igwe Spain) has expressed his readiness to use his good office to entrench lasting peace among the six communities that make up Anambra East Local Government.
Udanoh made the statement shortly after the swearing in ceremony of fifteen councilors of the local government area in the council secretariat recently.
He pointed out that his mission as the chairman of the local government area is to ensure absolute peace reigns among the people adding that with the constitutional powers conferred on him, he can create good changes in the area by giving priority attention to all sectors in the area which according to him would have positive impacts in the lives of the people.
Commending the Anambra state governor Mr. Peter Obi, the council boss stated that the governor has embarked on multifaceted developmental strides which according to him had given the state a good face- lift.
“I make bold to say that no government has ever developed Anambra State nor demonstrated adequate concern for the welfare of its citizens as the present administration of Governor Peter Obi. All his wonderful works seen by all and sundry have silenced insinuations that his administration did nothing for the state. He is still embarking on meaningful projects in the state, even when his days in the office are numbered. Governor Peter Obi remains the best performing governor and we can never forget him” he said.
While thanking the outgoing transition committee chairman of the council for his good performance during his one year and six months in office, he also urged the councilors to live above board, make good legislations for the people and be good representatives for their various wards in the council.
Earlier the outgoing transition committee chairman of Anambra East local government Area Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe who enumerated his performance in the local government Area, charged the council legislators to be proactive, live up to the expectations of the people and work in harmony with the executive.
