Ohaneze Ndigbo Bombs Governor Okorocha Over Comments

       

                  

The Ohaneze Ndigbo, the Apex Socio-cultural Organization of Ndigbo yesterday took a swipe at the Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha over his statement concerning the problem of Igbo unity describing his statement as one coming from a confused man.

The Anambra state Chairman of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Elder Chris Eluemuno described Governor Okorocha as the highest confusionist and enemy of Ndigbo ever lived.

Elder Eluemuno said the State chapter of Ohaneze Ndigbo after critically appraising the antecedents of Governor Okorocha and the statement credited to him that Anambra people are the problem of Ndigbo has come to understand that he is playing an unknown script of enemies of Ndigbo and Nigeria at large.

“It is very unfortunate that somebody like Governor Rochas Okorocha could say that, initially I didn’t believe it until I read it on the pages of newspapers. I want to say that I have never seen a confusionist like Okorocha himself, he has tried to destabilize Igbo unity by aligning with Hausa and Yorubas to destroy Igbo unity, he is the worst Igbo leader I have ever seen”

Chief Eluemuno further berated the Imo state Governor for his utterances against the people of Anambra state and prominent politicians of Igbo extraction, adding that unless he tenders unreserved public apologies to both Ndigbo and Ndi Anambra in particular, he will continue to be under serious condemnation.

He described the statement credited to Governor Okorocha as capable of truncating the unity of Ndigbo, saying “Anambra state has been at the forefront for Igbo unity, even before somebody like Okorocha was born, prominent Anambra sons and daughters including Dr. Alex Ekwueme and others had fought for the unity of the country and Igbo in particular, it then goes to say that Okorocha is uninformed maybe because of his Northern upbringing, he forgot those that made it possible for him to sit as the Governor of Imo state”

“So when he spoke like that, it then went further to say that Ekwueme who is the most prominent Igbo politician still living is not relevant in the scheme of things, just because somebody like Okorocha was allowed to be Governor in a state he never knew how and when it was created. I am sure that Ekwueme and other prominent Anambra politicians have Okorocha’s age mates  as sons and daughters, he must apologize to Ndi Anambra” he said.
