Group tackles Ekweremadu, Nwodo, Ohanaeze, S’East governors for proscribing IPOB

www.odogwublog.com reports that an Igbo group, Voice from the East, VEAST, has flayed Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, president-general of OhanaezeNdigbo,Chief John NniaNwodo, as well as governors of the South-East for proscribing the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The group, which is visibly angry at the proscription, posited that it was their action that spurred the federal government to tag IPOB a terrorist organization.

According to the group in a statement issued by its convener, Comrade Kindness Jonah, the Igbo leaders are to blame for the terrorist tag given to IPOB,not President Mohammadu Buhari.

“We did a critical evaluation of the tag of ‘terrorism’ given to the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, with a view to discovering who really is responsible between Ike Ekweremadu, Nnia Nwodo’sOhanaezeNdigbo and South-East governors on one hand, and Muhammadu Buhari’s presidency on another.

“The word ‘proscription’ in Oxford Advance Learners Dictionary means ‘to state officially that something is dangerous or forbidden,’hence Igbo governors with Ohanaeze Ndigbo, alongside Ike Ekweremadu, stated officially that IPOB is dangerous, and said officially that IPOB is forbidden. What then is terrorism tag aside being dangerous, and so forbidden? What is the difference between a terrorist and a forbidden person? What is the difference between a dangerous person and a terrorist?” the group asked.

“We wondered why Arewa Consultative Forum with its Council of Elders did not proscribe Arewa Youths when they gave Igbos quit notice in all the northern states. Why have Sokoto caliphate with its sultan, alongside Ango Abdullahi, Paul Unongo, Sule Gambari, emir of Kano, emir of Fika, emir of Gwandu, emir of Zauzzau and the host of other emirs and leaders of Islamic north not declared Fulani herdsmen terrorist group they really are, despite the undeniable bloodletting they perpetrate?

“Why rather do they protect Fulani herdsmen? The rush with which NniaNwodo, Ike Ekweremadu and eastern governors used to proscribe IPOB, despite the glaring fact they never killed anybody, shows that these Igbos are bunch of bought-overs and Islamic stooges and horde of sellouts on Igbo cause and course,” it further declared.

Lambasting the Igbo leaders for the action they took in proscribing IPOB, the group posited that “whoso fetched the firewood festered with ants has automatically invited the lizard to pay him a visit. Ike Ekweremadu, NniaNwodo, Ohanaeze Ndigbo with South-East governors fetched the firewood festered with lizard in their senseless proscription of IPOB, and played into the waiting hands of the enemies of Igbo existentiality called MuhammaduBuhari and Sokoto-islamic caliphatewho wasted no tickle of a second in declaring IPOB a terrorist organization, an unfortunate scenario that resulted to the wastage of the blood of more than 30 Igbo youngsters at Umuahia, Okpuala-Ngwa and Aba.”

It therefore declared that Buhariwas not responsible for branding IPOB a terrorist group, but eastern governors, OhanaezeNdigbo,Nwodo andEkweremadu.
