APC weeps as over 1000 members defect to PDP in Ebonyi

www.odogwublog.com reports All Progressives Congress, APC, is in weeping mood as it lost over 1,000 members to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi state.

The decampees were led into the PDP by Hon. Bede Nwali, former member that represented Ebonyi North East constituency in the state House of Assembly.

He also contested for Ohaukwu/Ebonyi federal constituency under the Labour Party in 2015 and lost to the incumbent, Hon. Chukwuma Nwazunku of the PDP.

Nwali who hails from Ebonyi LGA of the state, led his loyalists into the PDP, saying they were in Egypt (referring to APC) but have decided to go back to the PDP.

He thanked PDP Executives and members in his local government area for welcoming them.

He declared support for Governor Umahi’s administration just as he lauded his developmental strides especially on road infrastructure.

Nwali appealed to other people of Izzi clan still in opposition to join hands with Governor Umahi in developing the state.

Receiving the decampees, the state PDP chairman, Barr Onyekachi Nwebonyi, thanked them for taking the bold steps and urged them to feel free and associate with the party members.
