www.odogwublog.com reports that a ten (10) member Board for Anambra State Housing Development Corporation has been inaugurated.

The Board has among its terms of reference, to exercise all functions and powers of the Corporation, to manage all the corporation's businesses, keep and preserve all the Corporation's property and carry out all other functions as may be directed by the Governor.
It has as its Chairman, Barrister Emeka Etiaba SAN and Barrister Onyeoma Anierobi as the Secretary.
Other members include, Professor Joe Asike, Engr Ebele Okeke, Mr. Victor Idigo, Sir Isaiah Ezezika, Mrs Margaret Mozie and Mr. Dennis Offor, with the Commissioner for Lands, Mr. Nnamdi Onukwuba and his Housing Counterpart, Mr. Emeka Ezenwanne as statutory members.
Inaugurating the board, Governor Obiano said the members were carefully selected because of their experience and track record of excellence in the chosen area.
While stressing that he wants the Corporation reinvigorated, Governor Obiano said the Board will oversee the operations of the corporation to ensure that it aligns with standards.
According to him, with the sites and services being provided at the various estates coming up, the Corporation needs to be alert to its role in making developers to conform to stipulated designs.
The Governor tasked the Board to immediately hit the ground running, to ensure that the corporation is run transparently and with integrity.
Responding on behalf of the Board Members, the Chairman, Barrister Etiaba thanked the Governor for the opportunity given them to serve the state and promised that they will live up to the Governor's expectations of excellence and integrity.
Barrister Etiaba who acknowledged that at present, it is difficult to get title documents in the State, said they will immediately embark on auditing of title documents to readily avail businessmen the required legal titles to obtain funds from financial institutions and by so doing, shore up the state Internally Generated Revenue
