Twin brothers from Abakaliki found dead in deep freezer


www.odogwublog.com reports that the Umuenem Village in Otolo-Nnewi has been thrown into mourning over the dead of twin brothers who are suspected to be murdered by yet to be identified assailant.


The news of the incident spread like wild bush fire in the industrial town causing panic among the people.

Sources said that the twin brothers, Paul and Peter who were six years old returned from school on Friday at about 5pm and went to their mother's shop who instructed them to go home and remove their school uniforms after which they should return to the shop.

After waiting so long without seeing them, she raised the alarm and a search party spear headed by the community's vigilante was raised to search for the missing twin brothers.

The search we were told went on all night without any trace of the missing children.

But the story assumed a different dimension when one the three sisters of the twin brothers discovered the dead bodies in their mother's deep freezer at about 5.00am the following morning.

The father of the dead twin brothers, Mr Nwachukwu Onwe from Ishiagu, Ebonyi state who was still in shock alleged that his two boys were killed so that he can be left with three girls without a male child.

The Obi of Umuenem community, Chief Afam Obiekosi described the incident as very unusual and an abomination which has never happened in the community before noting that the community would go to any length to get to the root of the circumstances that led to the killing of two innocent boys.

The Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) Mr Mohammed Haruna(SP) when contacted confirmed the incident, he said medical doctors have brought in to carry out autopsy on the dead children.

Haruna said full scale investigation was already on concerning the matter.
