www.odogwublog.com reports that a ten man Investigative Panel of Enquiry Into the fire disaster at Nkwo-Ogbe market Ihiala has been inaugurated by Governor Willie Obiano.
Other members of the committee include Dr Christian Madubuko, Mr Obi Nwankwo, Dr Dan Ezeanwu and Mr Greg Obi.
Others are Transition Committee Chairman Ihiala Council Area Barrister Ifeanyi Odumegwu, Barrister Jude Ngobili, Head of Nkwo-Ogbe Market and Commissioner For Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr C-Don Adinuba.
The Governor pledged that government will continue to do everything within its powers to make life more meaningful for them, as according to him, government can no longer tolerate such losses.
Presenting the terms of reference earlier, the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu tasked the panel to ascertain the remote and immediate causes of fire outbreaks in the State.
While pointing out that the spate of inferno in Anambra markets has become a major concern to the Governor, Professor Chukwulobelu expressed optimism that with the findings from the panel, a lasting solution to the menace across the State will be discovered.
Responding on behalf of the panel, Igwe Uyanwa, promised that they would deliver within the short period of time given to them.
Recall that about a week ago, fire gutted property worth millions of naira at the Nkwogbe market in Ihiala Council Area.
