BBC interview: IPOB blasts Ikpeazu over remark on Kanu

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra ( IPOB), has lambasted Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State over his remarks on its Leader, Nnamdi Kanu  in a recent interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation Igbo Service.

Ikpeazu had in the said interview, allegedly described Kanu as a liar and a truce breaker.

But IPOB in a statement yesterday by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said its leader whose whereabouts has remained a subject of controversy since after the military invasion of his  home on September 14, 2017, had never met with Ikpeazu, wondering how the Governor arrived at his conclusion about Kanu.

IPOB said Igbo leaders in their desperation to please their "Norther masters can go at any length to betray their own brothers".

The pro- Biafra group said  Ikpeazu did not even attend the meeting  South East Governors held with Kanu, and expressed shock that the Governor could claim that Kanu reneged in his agreements with the Governors.

"Okezie Ikpeazu failed to understand that the highly respected and foremost constitutional lawyer Prof. Ben Nwabueze was at the meeting between Nnamdi Kanu and Igbo governors which he Okezie Ikpeazu did not attend.

"We are placing the world on notice that Okezie Ikpeazu has never met with our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu despite the fact that Umuahia government house sits on his ancestral land and his father the traditional ruler.

"He must tell the world, where,  when and with whom he met Nnamdi Kanu. We will not allow him to get away with this bare-faced  deceit and lies", IPOB said in a statement yesterday by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful.

IPOB also accused Ikpeazu of complicity in the military invasion of its leader's house last year, saying that the Governor should be ready to explain his role in the raid.

"Okezie Ikpeazu should keep his testimony and evidence with him because he will soon  be called upon to give account of his role in the military invasion and abduction of Nnamdi Kanu and his parents from their home. The day of reckoning is fast approaching.
"These peddling of lies and distortion of facts against Kanu is a well orchestrated plan  conceived prior to Operation Python Dance 2 which they the governors initiated with Nnia Nwodo."
