‘’The reasons for this unfortunate turn of an otherwise noble democratic tradition are legion and shamefully reflective of the absolute lack of internal democracy in our great Labour Party.
‘’State Chairman of Labour Party, Comrade Luke Ezeanokwasa is from all available empirical information working for his kinsman and candidate of the "Progressive People's Alliance (PPA).
In his quest to frustrate our candidate who is from the same Aguata Local Government Area, he entered into an unholy undemocratic bond with the National Chairman Labour Party to field a National officer Comrade Oluchukwu Ajulufo who neither purchased the nomination form nor expressed interest to contest- Majority of the State Executive Council comprising of the State Executive Committee and Chairmen and Secretaries of the 21 local Government Areas in Anambra State rejected the introduction and possible imposition of this unknown surrogate contestant.
‘’The ensuing melee resulted in pandemonium causing the National Chairman to be whisked away by his security detail in company of the unrepentant imposter comrade Oluchukwu Ajulufo. This unfortunate end to this electoral pre-election criteria is condemnable, ignominious, callous and calls to question the integrity of both the State Chairman Comrade Luke Ezeanokwasa and National Chairman Alhaji Abubakar Abdulsalarn.
‘’We call on IPAC, CNPP, NLC, TUC, INFC and other lovers of democracy to rise in condemnation of the despicable, abominable-conduct-of the National' Chairman of Labour Party and calf him to order.
:
It ended: ‘’Our legal advisers are looking at the details of this charade induced by pursuit of filthy lucre by supposedly comrade gentlemen to determine available legal options and the way forward’’.
However, Labour party went ahead and declared a female journalist, Mrs. Oluchukwu Ajulufo, who worked with Ray Power (Daar Communications), as its governorship candidate for the Nov. 18, governorship election in Anambra.
