Okpoko Residents pass vote of No confidence on caretaker committee.

www.odogwublog.com reports that the people of Okpoko, Ogbaru Local Government Area, Anambra state have passed a vote of no confidence on the caretaker committee led by Hon. Linus Ezenwamma, imposed on them by the state Government.

They passed the vote of no confidence after a general meeting where the people listed so many issues bothering on the community which remained unsolved.
According to the former Secretary General of the community, Comrade Raphael Agu, "the leadership is being backed up by a member of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Benson Nwawulu, to undermine our agitation to conduct election since the tenure of the caretaker committee has elapsed”.
In the petition they said, Hon Benson Nwanwulu who is the alter ego which the community looked upon made a scandalous statement during the said meeting held by the community “that not withstanding that the tenure of the existing office has since ceased, he was the one who appointed Hon Linus Ezenwamma into office”.
They urged Governor Willie Obiano to come to their rescue stating  that all is not well there and whoever  that complained is attacked.
According to Comrade Raphael Agu, “the leadership should also be made to render account of stewardship for the three years it ruled without election”.
In a six- page petition signed by 42 stakeholders of the community through their counsel, Chris Okoro, which they sent to  Governor Willie Obiano they accused the leadership of over staying its welcome.
