Federal High Court Awka remands 4 drug dealers

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Federal High Court, Awka, presided over by the Hon. Justice I.N Oweibo, Tuesday, remanded four suspected drug dealers in prison custody for different drug related offences.
The four suspects are Chinemerem Oghuka (21), Amos Okei (32), Okezie Nwabueze (25) and Sunday Eze (25).
Chinemerem Oghuka and Okezie Nwabueze, who were arrested by the operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at different points in Anambra State for allegedly being in possession of 350g of Indian Hemp and 3.800g of Indian Hemp respectively, pleaded guilty to the charges, while Amos Okei and Sunday Eze, who were allegedly caught in possession of 2.2g of cocaine and 5.200gs of Indian Hemp respectively pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
NDLEA prosecuting officer, Barr. Emeka Ihechu, said that the offence committed by the four suspects was contrary to Section 19 of NDLEA Law and Act Cap N 30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
The presiding judge, Hon. Justice I.N Oweibo, adjourned the matter to Monday, 3rd April, 2017 for presentation of facts, while the suspects were remanded in prison custody.
