Obi dazzles Agulu Community with Empowerment ----doles out N24 Million for 240 youths, 21 shuttles, 20 Sienna and 20 Kekenapep


 www.odogwublog.com reports exclusively that former Governor Peter Obi of Anambra state yesterday continued his empowerment scheme with Agulu people doling out Twenty-Four Million naira (N24,000,000) for about 24 youths to benefit One hundred Thousand naira (N100,000) each to enable them support their trading or start any petty trading of their choice.
Also, 20 Siena buses and 21 Shuttles as well as 20 Kekenapep were available for grabs from the Peter Obi Empowerment scheme for Agulu people.
Obi is doing the empowerment through the Agulu Peoples’ Union (APU) led by Sir Paulinus Aniagboso Isimmiri Agulu, even as he promised to continue to do the empowerment until a better life by majority of Agulu people is achieved. Obi said henceforth he would be empowering 20 people every month in Agulu even as he sent some youths for training at MASDAVEN Farms Urum , Awka North council area.
Obi while addressing Agulu people at the Town Hall announced a scholarship for one Miss Chinwe Okonkwo who had first class in his first and Second Degree to study her PhD at the tune of One Million naira. His brother who got first class would equally be awarded scholarship even as Obi demanded every citizen of Agulu with first class to step forward for his support, assuring Miss Okonkwo of immediate employment after her studies if she continues to do well.
He said the N24 Million for Agulu Empowerment scheme is without interest from the beneficiaries and urged them to use it judiciously and report back should any challenge crop up but warned against using the money for vanity celebrations and unnecessary purchase.
Obi appealed to every Agulu citizen to embrace peace, unity and progress of Agulu and shun by every means running another Agulu man or woman down as there is no reason so to do even as he pleaded with Agulu citizens privileged to always think home and turn Agulu to urban city of reference. He said two banking halls would be attracted to Agulu community at Nkwo Agulu and Afor Agulu soonest as a means of opening up the community further.

He reminded them that despite he has no home at Agulu, he turned down an offer to build a magnificent home for him at Agulu by a bank and used it to build a befitting hostel for St Anthony’s Comprehensive Secondary school Agulu and another at mission school at Ekwulobia and advised youths to live within their means.
In his remarks, the traditional ruler of Agulu , Igwe Innocent Obodoakor and the President General of Agulu, Sir Paulinus Aniagboso, Isimmiri, lauded the former Governor, Mr Peter Obi for remaining a true and worthy son of Agulu and Anaocha as well as Anambra state, describing him as true ambassador of Agulu community. They urged him not to relent as they are strongly behind him at all times despite some of their shortcomings in the past.
Igwe Obodoakor said Obi’s disposition is worthy of emulation especially his interest in development and growth of Agulu community, while Aniagboso expressed gratitude with Obi’s plan to attract two banks to the community, even as he assured Obi of their unalloyed solidarity and support always.
Member Representing Anaocha 1 in the state House of Assembly, Hon Azubuike Okoye described Peter Obi as a true son of Agulu, Anaocha and Anambra state who according to him has empowered him even as an opposition party member even as he commended his super think home philosophy worthy of emulation.
www.odogwublog.com reports that an unanimous vote of confidence was passed on Peter Obi for his steadfastness and great developer and mobilizer for development of Agulu after former President General of Agulu, Nathaniel Anigbo moved a motion in that regards as supported by former House Member , Chief Sylvester Okeke. They said a date would be fixed in future to honour him for his superfluous stand on progress, development and growth of Agulu community and Anambra state at large.  The Agulu Hotel Resort return to the Agulu people was muted but it was not discussed. They said since Anambra state government has returned Shoprite to Nnewi community , Agulu wants the hotel returned to them as they can complete it within record time.
www.odogwublog.com reports that it would be recalled that Obi did same empowerment last year under Agulu Peoples Union Mass Transit and even gave a brand new bus for Igwe in council. He paid for all their registration and insurance for one year.
He did not stop there, he gave over 200 women N5 Million to 12 women from each village should get N20,000 each for petty trading.
President General of Women  wing of APU, Lady Theresa Akubueze and CEO Iruka bread and former Chairman of Onitsha South, Lady Ann Chukwuneke and the President General of APU , Chief Aniagboso received the symbolic cheques alongside other prominent Agulu citizens.
