SDP TO CREATE 100,000 JOBS IN ONE YEAR-OLU FALAE

National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party[SDP] Chief Olu Falae yesterday lamented the inability of state governments in the country to pay workers' salaries when due. He also decried massive unemployment among the youths in the country and  called for proactive measures towards tackling the menace. Speaking at the official flag campaign ceremony of the SDP Governorship candidate for Ondo state governorship election, Dr. Olu Agunloye, in Akure, the Afenifere Chieftain declared that the party would provide jobs for 100,000 youths in the state within its first 365 days in office if the party wins the November 26 Governorship election in the state.

Falae also added that the candidate if elected will prioritize regular payment of salaries for all workers in the state, including pensions and gratuities for retired workers. He revealed that the party has mapped out an apprenticeship scheme that would empower and ensure that the teaming populations of the youths in the state are gainfully employed within one year of the SDP led administration in the state if elected. He lamented that the state is retrogressing, referring to unpaid workers' salaries, pensioners' allowances, moribund industries infrastructural decay and massive unemployment, which he also said contributed immensely to the alarming rate of crime in the society.  The party candidate in his own speech maintained that he would build on the sustainable projects of his predecessor, if elected.
