Oshoala grabs four goals as Falcons thrash Mali 6-0

Super Falcons began the quest to defend their title on a very brighter note on Sunday, when they humbled the Malian women national team 6-0, with Asisat Oshoala grabbing four of the goals in the match played at Limbe, the federal republic of Cameroon.

Oshoala who was voted the player of the tournament during the last edition of the tournament in 2014, was simply in a class of her own as she terrorised the hapless and helpless Malian defence.

USA based Fancisca Ordega and Uchechi Sunday also scored as the Super Falcons sent out a chilling warning to their rivals. The game produced a slow start as both teams struggled to find their rhythm, but once the Super Falcons scored, it was one way traffic, as the Nigerian women simply put their opponents to the sword in a stunning fashion.
