Anambra Guner Race:APC moves to rejig party in South-east.


Ahead of the November 2017 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, the All Progressive Congress[APC], has set up a seven-man committee headed by the senator representing Imo North Senatorial district, Chief Benjamin Uwajimogu, to recommend modalities to rally support for the party and sustain its growth and visibility in the region. 

In the committee are Senator Chris Nwankwo, Senator Anthony Agbo, Dr. Anyim Nyerere, Dr. Chris Akomas, Hon. Tony One Week and Dr. Dorothy Nwodo, who will serve as secretary of the committee. The terms of reference of the committee include examining the party's level of preparedness for the the November 17 gubernatorial election; examining the present strength of the APC in Anambra state and further determine the the problems militating against the growth of the party in the state. The terms of reference also include: to articulate immediate steps needed to shore up the image of the party in the state and outline appropriate measures required to ensure total victory for the party in the November 17 election in the state, as well as recommending the most feasible approach to guarantee sustained growth of the party in the state.

Speaking at the South-east zonal meeting of the party, the national vice chairman of the party for southeast region, Hon. Emma Eneukwu, said the recommendations of the committee will serve as the strategic framework to improve the fortunes of the party.
