Abia Warriors Unveil Emordi

Highly experienced Coach, Okey Emordi has been unveiled as Manager, Technical adviser of Umuahia based top premier league club, Abia Warriors FC. During a relative low-key ceremony held at the Umuahia township stadium, the club Chairman, High Chief Emeka Inyama said that the need to see the club do well in the soon to start premier league 2016/2017 NPFL season motivated the club management to go for the veteran Coach who has won the CAF Champions league with city neighbours Enyimba FC of Aba . Chief Inyama extolled the governor of Abia state Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for maintaining his resolve to  sponsor two high flying clubs in the NPFL as his own way of arresting  youth restiveness and crime in the country. Responding to questions from our reporter, Coach Emordi said he came to Abia Warriors to make statement of football excellence. The erstwhile coach of Kano pillars added that he would soon look into the problems that hindered the club in the past with a view of rectifying them, and make the club come out in flying colours in the soon to start new NPFL season.
