www.odogwublog.com reports that over two thousand pupils of Udoka Nursery and Primary school have benefited from the schools feeding programme of Augusta Ngozi Agbasionwe foundation, an NGO based in Awka. 
 
The Program which is the first of its kind in the area was in fulfilling part of the objectives of alleviating hunger and Malnutrition in school children. The programme is aimed at giving nutritious diets to pupils to increase their body nutrients for speedy assimilation of academic work.
 
 It is on this premise that the President and Founder of Augusta Ngozi Agbasionwe Foundation ANAF  Chief Doctor Ngozi Agbasionwe chose to commence the program.
 
  Speaking during the commencement of the Programme at Udoka Nursary and Primary School inside Saint Patrick Catholic Cathedral Awka, the President of ANAF who was represented by a Senior Staff of the foundation Mrs Oluchukwu Chukwuenyem said the programme is a continuous one until the schools are covered. In her words " chief is God's sent, she has no interest in politics therefore there's no political under tone to it, but desires to alleviate the sufferings of the less Privileged, the physically challenged, the sick and the aged". 
 
Mrs Chukwuenyem explained that Dr Agbasionwe tasted poverty and know what it is to be poor hence she decided to give succor to such people. She stated that the foundation had under taken a free medical mission, visit to some motherless babies homes where financial and material gifts were presented, ofseting of hospital bills of indigent persons among other things.
 
 Another staff of the foundation Mrs Felicia Okika explained that the vision of the Awkuzu born woman and married to a Nando Pharmacist was to transformed the society. Speaking on the occasion the headmistress of the school Mrs Mercy Okigbo while appreciating the good gesture of Augusta Ngozi Agbasionwe Foundation observed the importance of good nutrition in physical and mental development of children. 
 
Some of the teachers Mrs Eucharia Nwogbo and Lady Gloria Nedu stressed the need for other Public spirited individuals to emulate the gesture in the wave of the country's economic challenges. The pupils ate and drank feeling happier.
