Obiano’s taskforce at war with National Dailies signposts in Onitsha, injures Obiano’s cousin Manafa

www.odogwublog.com reports that untrained boys of Jude Emecheta of Anambra Signage and Advertisement Agency (ANSAA) today clashed with business men and traders long old Market road Onitsha over payment of N5, 000 signage fees.

The agency who dismantled so many sign posts and threatened to dismantle the Sun Newspapers, Vanguard Newspapers ,Authority newspapers signposts and that of other national dailies signposts demanded that any business man or trader that put signpost in front of his or her business area must pay N5, 000 and also pay extra N2, 000 for penalty totaling N7,000 for late payment

It took the efforts of some government officials who prevailed on the task force to spare the sign post of  the newspapers but mandated the company to pay within one month or they will come back to dismantle theirs.

The situation attracted the passersby, some members of IPOB and MASSOB and other newspaper free readers threatened to attack the members of the task force when they saw blood flowing from the head of the man they injured.

It took the efforts, of two policemen that accompanied the task force to calm the situation and took the injured man upstairs of the laboratory for treatment.

Leader of the task force Mr.Olisa Ndulue alleged that demand notice was issued since February this year for the payment of signage fees but was ignored by some businessmen and traders who mounted sign posts which prompted the task force to dismantle those that did not give them evidence of payment of the money.

A scientist, Dr. Patrick Manafa who operate a medical laboratory firm alleged that a member of the task force attacked and injured him while coming down from his office when the task force wanted to remove his sign post called on governor Willie Obiano to caution the task force who go around harassing people in the name of levies
