In Nigeria today, for want of a better word, I will say it's killing! Concerned citizens who truly see themselves as stakeholders in Project Nigeria are doing all they can to provide solution in their own way to this hydra-headed monster! There are several NGOs set up by individuals to contribute their quota.
Painfully, it's like a drop of water in an ocean. There are millions of young Nigerians out there still searching with the thirst of a deer, what to do just to keep body and soul together; not to talk of getting what will bring sufficient income to plan for bigger things in life. Criminality is NEVER excusable no matter the circumstance BUT leadership(the Government) MUST be awake to responsibility NOW! Failing to do so, just as in the past, would mean 'embracing' terrorism, insurgency, robbery, kidnapping and all kinds of crime and evil. The elders in our society should remember that they had a better environment to thrive in their youth and should not expect peace when many of them in leadership positions have left little or nothing for the younger generation. These corrupt individuals have no moral justification when they complain about the mess WE ALL are in! Anyway, is it a hopeless situation? The answer is NO!!!Job seeking, which has become the status quo, can be broken in more assuring ways by THE INDIVIDUAL instead of having hope(mostly fragile and bleak) on what the government which to say the bitter truth, has very little plans for the people, will do or a few concerned persons in their mostly limited capacities! Come to think of it, who ever said that the goal of getting education or acquiring skills is to seek employment in a public or private company.
The goal of doing the aforementioned, is to become useful to oneself and the society. Hence, work is not limited to getting a space in the established public or private companies. With the stark reality of unemployment we can SEE and 'TOUCH' everywhere, it's crystal clear that an open, objective and discerning mind would know that self-employment or entrepreneurship, is the only way out. The common saying goes that: 'Man is the architect of his own destiny. 'So, knowing full well that: 'A man's destiny is in HIS OWN hands', it's needless to say that self-employment or entrepreneurship, is THE ONLY SURE AND GUARANTEED WAY OF ESCAPE! Now, the million dollar question is HOW? The answer is TALENT OR GIFT! The JUST GOD has given EVERYMAN talents or gifts that he can trade within the 'lifemarket' and become fulfilled by meeting his needs and ALSO become a blessing to others. There are many examples of people in our world(and of course Nigeria) that have become truly great by 'investing' their talent(s).WE ALL have the capacity to have such great life stories. You want to discover yours? Simple! Just sit, concentrate and meditate. LOOK INWARDS and make discoveries about YOUR UNIQUE DESIGN by THE MAKER! If this is done diligently, you SHALL make pleasant and awesome discoveries about yourself. The next step to take is to 'process' the discovered talent (s) or gift(s) into SKILL(S).It's your skills that have value in the 'LIFEMARKET'. This is what will bring money and all it can buy your way. A wise man said: 'Money is a reward for value addition in the 'lifemarket.''(paraphrased).I AGREE! The great and world renowned Evangelist, Billy Graham said: 'Choice is the greatest power given to man by God .'And I dare say that CHOICE IS THE PRINCIPAL 'INGREDIENT' IN THE SUCCESS OF ANY VENTURE UNDERTAKEN BY MAN! The time to make that choice that would make you scream 'Eureka!' 'Eureka!' 'I have found it!' 'I have found it!' is NOW!SEE YOU AT THE TOP!
