Unizik:Chinese Cultural Ambassador arrives Unizik as Nigeria demands training of 100 Chinese in Igbo Language

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Nigerian Institution, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka yesterday demanded from the Chinese government  through the Xiamen University to give approval to send 100 of its staff and students to Nigeria for training in Igbo language  and culture.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Joseph Ahaneku who announced this during the official commissioning of the Chinese Cultural Research Center of Nigeria at the University, said arrangements are already underway deploy staff of the University to China to teach Igbo language and Culture to Xiamen University to make the relationship with them truly reciprocal.

Prof Ahaneku told the visiting Director of China Cultural Center in Nigeria , Yan Xiangdong that the Chinese center in Unizik is a great honour and that everything needed to make it unique would be done by the university , since hundreds of Unizik students and staff have benefitted from the Confucius institute in the Institution.

He said they would stop at nothing in making the transfer of science and technology through the cultural marriage and urged the visiting Chinese cultural Ambassador to facilitate transfer of Chinese students ready to learn Igbo entr4eprenueral spirit and language to the university at no cost.

The Director of China Cultural Center in Nigeria , Yan Xiangdong commended Prof Ahaneku and his team for their support for the Chinese center and assured the Chinese government would do everything possible to support the vision of the Vice Chancellor.
