NBA battles Okorocha over demolition of buildings in Imo state

Owerri branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has called for the resignation of Mr Sam Onwuemodo, Chief Press Secretary to the Imo State Governor.
Chairman of the Owerri bar, Barr Lawrence Nwankiti had said the action of demolition peoples building without adequate compensation and due process is anti democratic.
He picked holes in the comments of Sam Onwuemodo who said "following due process will cause waste of time", Nwankiti said it was reckless and irresponsible to give such an excuse.
Mr Onwuemodo had in a phone call during the programme said after demolition, compensation will be considered to which Nwankiti described as irresponsible and unlawful.

He declared the readiness of the Owerri branch NBA to offer free legal services to people affected by the demolition exercise.
