IPOB wants FG, Gov. Obiano to set up panel of inquiry to probe Biafra day killings

The indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of mazi Nnamdi K. Kanu has condemn the delay on the side of Federal Government of Nigeria  and Chief Willie Obiano of Anambra state in constituting the panel of enquiries to probe the brutal killings of unarmed civilians who were praying in remembrance of Biafra heroes and heroines at St Edmond Catholic church Nkpor Agu in Idemili North LGA of Anambra state by the Nigeria Navy, Army, police and other security agents

The IPOB in a statement signed by its national coordinator Chidiebere Onwudiwe and directir of media and publicity Emma Powerful and obtained by Authority in Onitsha alleged that governor Obiano through his information ministry and media team accused their members as hoodlums, miscreants and criminals that came to destroy the state and ordered security agents to kill unarmed civilians on that fateful day.

According to Onwudiwe and Powerful before the biafra day killing in the state there was a security council meeting which the executive governor was the chairman and the deputy governor Dr. Nkem Okeke was the vice chairman with the police commissioner Hosea Karma, the representatives of the Army, Navy and the DSS, in attendance during which Governor Obiano gave the security agents order of shoot at sight on the people.

"Chief Willie Obiano must pay for the crime he committed against the members of IPOB and Biafra" the IPOB officials thundered in the statement.

They continued "We are also aware that Obiano held several meetings with some politicians and some traditional rulers in the state with a view to paint IPOB black before attacking them but some disagreed with him but he insisted and ordered the security officers to kill his brothers and sisters who committed no crime and buried them in a mass graves inside army barracks Onitsha"

The pro biafra grouo wondered why the federal government and Obiano haverefuses to constitute panel of inquiry to investigate the killings and the mass burials adding that they are asking Obiano in particular to bring out the evidences proving that IPOB committed any crime in the state or anywhere around the world since its inception.

Onwdiwe and powerful however applauded those individuals and groups who summoned courage to condemned the federal government, Anambra state government and their agents for the brutal and barbaric killings of the defenseless people in this contraption called Nigeria during the botched Biafra heroes and heroines day in Anambra calling on those who have done the right thing in condemning the killing of unarmed civilians to organise themselves under one umbrella to push for panel of enquiries that IPOB is demanding.

"We IPOB worldwide knows the precarious situation you are because if you stands on the truth in this contraption called Nigeria you become intimidated and they will accuse you of one thing or the other. All those evil perpetrators must be brought to book by the international criminal court (ICC) which will soon start sitting on our case in Hague. We are presenting evidences to the international community and criminal court, if the FG, Army, Navy, DSS, and Police have the evidence of violence or crime committed by the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu let come with it" the officials added in the statement.
